About Me

Jose Elizondo

I'm set to graduate from San Antonio College in May, 2026, and continue my progress toward a BS in Computer Science at UTSA this Fall. I'm currently looking for opportunities during summer to work in lockstep with digital engineers at NASA who are designing digital systems being used to advance science for the benefit of our current and future generations.

Background

Raised in San Antonio, TX, I inherited a sense of freedom and love for community that we hold here. In later years, I found the online open-source community, where we share our source code and all benefit from each other's hard work, altogether improving quality of life for programmers and nonprogrammers alike with free tools and countless examples to learn from.

While attending San Antonio College, I discovered my love of mathematics and added a new dimension to my existing love of science that I've held since an early age. My favorite classes have always been those that point me in the direction of answering those deepest questions about how the Universe works and how we can answer hard questions about the world at large.

In recent years, I've become aware of the power of modern computer systems and computational methods for finding solutions to difficult problems of complexity in scientific computing. I've since gained many interrelated interests that I hope one day will point me in the right direction, that I may find the place where I can do the most good as a part of a community of problem-solvers.
